We can do almost any audio transfer that is doable today. Our specialty
is tranferring your irreplaceable vinyl, anything from 16 2/3 rpm
transcription disc to 78 rpm records from the turn of the 20th century,
to CD. We are also capable of cassette or 8-track to CD (and, of course
visa-versa). We can also do reel to reel, PCM 1630 or DAT . What do you charge for transfers?
The normal charge fortransfer from 1 LP, cassette. or 8-track, with up
to 12 tracks is $25.00. If additional editing or equalization is needed
you will be notified. This work is charged at $10.00 per ½ hour. What is included in your premium LP record cleaning service?
Prior to transfer both sides of the record are professionally cleaned
using a top of the line Nitty-Gritty Record Cleaning Machine. This
machine bathes the surface of the record in a proprietary cleaning
solution then scrubs and vacuums each side of the record to remove all
possible dust and dirt from the grooves. After transfer the disc is
place into a new polylined sleeve. All items are then stored in a
plastic bag specifically for this purpose. Can you make more than one copy of my source material for me?
You can legally make only one copy (and it must be for your own use) of
any commercial record, CD, cassette, etc which you own. Of course if it
is not copyrighted or if it is your original material there are no such
restrictions. How can I get my record, tape or CD to you?
If you are in the Ventura county area, call and we can arrange drop-off
/ pick-up. If that is not convenient, mail your package to us via the US
Postal Service. Media Mail, though a little bit slower than First Class
is very economical. If you need a record mailer we can send you one with
packaging materials and a preprinted mailing label for a nominal charge. How does DiscToDisc label and package finished, duplicated
CDs?
Most of our customers want to design and print their own labels. The
supplies are readily available from most office or computer supply
stores. Therefore, we supply the CD with only minimal water-based felt
tipped pen markings in a plain white Tyvek sleeve. Jewel boxes, custom
printed labels and tray card inserts are also available. Ask for prices. How long does it take to complete a transfer project?
Each project is a little different and some take more attention and
detail than others but a 3 day turnaround is typical. If you have
special needs, let us know and we will do our best to help you meet
them. How long does it take to duplicate or make multiple copies of
a CD?
This is a fairly straight forward process and small quantities can
usually be finished the next day. Again, if you have special needs, let
us know and we will do our best to help you meet them. Can you make copies of all the records in my record
collection?
Yes, we could, but that is not the purpose of of our service. We would
encourage you to buy the commercial CD, if available. If it is an out of
print or especially cherished title then you will get the best possible
sound reproduction by having DiscToDisc do your audio transfer and make
an archive copy for you. If you have any other questions or suggestions please address an
email to to info@disctodisc.com
. You will get a quick and what we hope will be a very helpful response.
